"The Heirloom Heist at the Christmas Gala: With Inquisitive Jeff" is a short quick-read whodunit mystery of a priceless jewel that is stolen in the middle of a Christmas holiday gala. The list of dubious suspects takes you on a ride through their motives and club management over the years. Jeff, the ever-inquisitive detective and wine connoisseur, is at the event and immediately begins an in-depth investigation into the shady characters and past of the club. The writing is descriptive, the plot is twisty and intriguing, and there is a whole lot more at stake than a missing jewel heirloom. Nicely done!

I was hoping this book it would bring some new ideas into my routine. It delivered exactly that. The chapters felt direct and offered techniques I could actually try right away. I appreciated how it addressed everyday struggles and gave me ways to work through them step by step. Good book!

This was a fun, quick read—perfect for the holiday season. The Christmas Gala setting had just the right mix of charm and mystery, and Jeff is a likable lead with a quirky edge (his wine knowledge was a nice touch).
The plot moves fast, maybe a little too fast in spots, and it could’ve used a bit more polish—some small editing and formatting issues popped up—but overall, it delivered what I was hoping for: an entertaining mystery with a festive backdrop.

I was looking for just an entertaining read. Nothing too deep or made you think too hard. This is a great one for that. It is an escape book and I enjoyed it.
